How Do I Get There?

Getting there by Car:

From most directions, you should head into Stevenage on the A1. To reach the hotel, from the A1, exit at Junction 7 to Stevenage South (Broadhill Way A602). At the next roundabout (vehicular underpass) turn right on Six Hills Way (A602). At the first roundabout, take the second exit into Danestrete.

Getting there by Train:

Stevenage is well linked to London with regular services in and out of Kings Cross every 15 minutes or so during the day. Travel time from Kings Cross is less than half-an-hour. Stevenage is on the WAGN (West Anglia Great Northern) main line, and if you are travelling from the North, Stevenage is on the main GNER east coast line into Kings Cross. Stevenage train station is less than half a mile from the hotel.

You can check times and routes using the links below

Getting there by Air:

Stevenage is only 12 km from Luton Airport, and a taxi from Luton Airport to Stevenage will set you back approximately £23. National Express runs an irregular coach service (approximately every 2-3 hrs), between the airport and Stevenage Bus Station, which costs just £6.90 return. Travel by train from Luton to Stevenage will entail travelling into London and back out again, with a standard fare of just under £25.

It is also possible to fly into Stansted Airport, and again, National Express runs approximately 8 coach services a day direct from the airport to Stevenage Bus Station at £8.40 return. You can also travel by rail from Stansted to Stevenage but this will entail travelling into London and out again at a standard fare of nearly £40.

Travelling from Heathrow, it is not possible to travel by public transport directly into Stevenage. A taxi will cost approximately £50 and in order to get to Stevenage by train or by bus, you will need to travel into Central London and out again.

Note: If you are planning to take a taxi direct from an airport (especially Heathrow) it is strongly advisable to pre-book with a specialist airport service. These will often provide fixed fare arrangements. Metered Black Cabs picked up from airport taxi ranks can be significantly more expensive.
