Sponsorship Deals

Sponsorship Deals

Interaction will be offering a number of sponsorship deals. These will include sponsorship of major events such as the Masquerade and Fireworks Display, Large Banner Advertising in the Convention Centre, and possible sponsorship of certain areas of programming, such as gaming. No rates have yet been fixed for these sponsorship deals, but expressions of interest are welcome at this time. However Interaction reserves the right to turn down sponsorship it thinks inappropriate.

The areas where sponsorship rates have been fixed are detailed below.

Programme Room Sponsorship

All the programming rooms being used by Interaction are available for sponsorship. In return for sponsoring a room through the run of the convention a sponsor will receive an additional discount on all advertising with the convention; be associated with the room in the pocket program; and will be allowed to decorate the space, within limits agreed with the convention. The rooms available to sponsor are:

These rates are for professional organisations; the fan and semi-pro sponsorship rates being 50% and 75% of the professional rate. The booking deadline for this sponsorship is the 2nd of May 2005. Bookings may be accepted after this date, but cannot be guaranteed to include all the advertised benefits, as the pocket programme will be nearing completion.

The advertising discount offered by sponsorship is retroactive, and is in addition to any other advertising discounts. This discount will be applied to both advertising ordered before the sponsorship (shown as a discount on the space sponsorship invoice), and on any advertising ordered after the sponsorship (shown on advertising invoices).

Souvenir CD-ROM Sponsorship

The convention plans to produce a souvenir CD-ROM as part of our membership package. On this CD-ROM we plan to include:

  • PDF versions of all our publications Convention Guide

  • Archive material from previous UK Worldcons including photographs of the 1957 London Worldcon.

  • Audio recordings of panels and talks from the 1965 London Worldcon.

  • Archives of historic fanzine material.

  • Material relating to our Guests of Honour, including a selection of photographs by Lars-Olov Strandberg.

The CD-ROM will be presented in a jewel case with its own full-colour front cover. The CD itself will be accessed using an HTML front-end. In return for sponsoring this item the sponsor will receive:

  • A banner advertisement that will be included as part of the HTML menu structure.

  • A section of the front-cover for the organisation’s logo along with the option text “Sponsored by” to be printed.

  • A 15% discount on all advertising placed by the organisation with the convention

The sponsorship rate for the souvenir CD-ROM is £1,000. The booking deadline for this sponsorship is 15th of April 2005, with all material for inclusion on the CD-ROM and cover to have been received by the 6th of May 2005.

NOTE: This item has now been sold.

Web Adverts

We are pleased to accept web adverts which will be displayed on every page on the web site (excluding the small number of secure pages which are used for form processing and have a different layout), just below the menu that appears on the left hand side of every page.

The rate for this is £100 per month per advert or £400 for the complete period from now until after the convention. We can display a maximum of three adverts. Our current traffic rate is in excess of 200,000 hits per month and is expected to continue rising towards the convention.
